Access to personal details relating to the ownership of NPPRs is contained in legal provisions and is strictly controlled. Section 11 of Local Government (Charges) Act 2009,provides for access to the data by local authorities and the RevenueCommissioners. Section 10 of the Act delegates functions to the LocalGovernment Computer Services Board LGCSB or the Local GovernmentManagement Services Board LGMSB.
Data collected on this site is gathered for the purpose of processingNPPR payment transactions. This data may be reused in future years fornotifications regarding liability for NPPR properties.

Section 8 of Local Government (Charges) Act 2009,provides for the provision of receipts and the provision ofcertificates on request. To enable a local authority meet theserequirements your data will be kept in the system so that it may bequeried to provide verification for the production of these. Therefore,while you may remove your association with a particular NPPR, thesystem will still need to keep your historical association with thatNPPR to allow for the provision of a certificate.
